The over 100-year-old Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) has helped Grand Rapids become an art center. The Van Andel Arena, which celebrated its grand opening on October 8, 1996, has attracted some of the most talented artists, artists of all ages and artists from all over the world.

Grand Valley State University offers many public appearances, lectures and concerts in Allendale and Grand Rapids. It offers a wide variety of art programs, such as art history, music, dance, theater and music education, as well as music and dance programs.
