Creston High School Reviews

I am currently a student at Creston High school, and I have to admit that it is one of the worst schools in Grand Rapids. The school has specialty programs just so that their graduation rate is increased, but these programs do not prepare students for life outside of high school. The GRAPCEP program is decent, though it has many flaws to it and at times is poorly organized. Few teachers show interest in students futures. Administrators at creston tend to discipline students for less than quality reasons, and do not discipline the students who really need it.

I've been at this school for 2 years now and things have been declining rapidly.Mainly due to over-population.On top of this 45% are not there for an education but for a place to socialize without a care for other people who actually want to learn .Nobody really has any respect for others including the teachers. I believe my education has been severely hindered because of the Grand Rapids Public School System.

I think the school is the best high school I could pick for my children in Grand Rapids. I mean the teachers seem to care and every student interacts with another so they all get along I should say. And the races are all different so the students can get a feel for each other.

I'am a student at Creston and it has changed since my freshmen year, but in a good way. The teachers are always there to help and the students support the school! The school is not perfect but it's a good education.

I was a student at creston and I have to say Creston is one of the worst schools in Grand Rapids. The teachers dont care, they dont help you, you barely learn anything, the kids there are rude and dont even care about getting an education and just the whole enviornment there is pretty crappy. Not to mention theres way to many kids in classes so you practically get anything done.

Of course Creston isn't the best school for a child but I would say for the amount of money they have they do pretty well. The teachers are always there to help and would never turn away from a student. The programs are wonderful. GRAPCEP and School Of Business. I'ts a nice environment

I am a student at Creston, I will be graduating with the class of 2006, and I don't believe that Creston is as productive as it should be. Don't take someone's advice who left ten years ago, its not the same. Make sure your student knows all about Crestons rules and regulations. Because had I known, I wouldn't have gone there.

I graduated from Creston and received a Bachelors degree from a 4 year university. I felt that what Creston lacked in educational opportunities was more than made up for by the diverse student body. Students are exposed to others from dissimilar socioeconomic backgrounds. Creston is what the real world looks like, not EGR! Opportunities to go far in life don't come from the High School you attend. 'Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing' A. Lincoln. Go Bears!

A school that went through a slump and still overcoming it right now. The teachers and community keep this school running. A school that is looked to down upon most as bad is really a great school. mainly known for athletics,ROTC,and the musical programs you can excel alot here. They just got a new principal who is already doing great things for the school. A very diverse school where everyone knows everyone. My son will graduate there soon just like my daughter a few years ago. Some have doubt in GRPS but Creston is definitely the 1 high school that is always ahead of the rest in the district.

My mother graduated from here, I graduated from here, and my brother and sister graduated from here, along with many other family members. This is a great schhol with diversity and tolerance for others. The teachers are also wonderful and do a great job teaching!!
