"Nature Under Glass" By means of abstraction, the Nature Under Glass series reveals the minutia that scaffolds humankind inside the various environments enveloping it. This elemental encounter with artifacts of our ecology informs the eye of messages too small to read. An individual painting in this series is a constituent of the sequential strand of encounters from quark to proton, feet to grass, and outwards to a universe of expansive intervals between bits of matter. To map these relationships is to recognize the sustaining substance of all microcosms underlying our persistent moments. I detect a diminishment in our experiences when I look outside my canvas at these interrelations. Eliciting tactile acquaintances with these details in relief, I feel a buoyant spirit that holds everything together, whether it is grass, moss, or fossil. Responding to the world of living landscapes' need for care and protection, I seal my painted microcosms under a hermetic blanket of refuge. "Cambrian Explosion" The Cambrian Explosion series looks within the border of a painting to uncover the creative origins that cling to viability. A cumulative sequence of painted fossils manifests themselves into a sudden burst of life. These are missing relatives, the ancestors of emerging forms. Each surface is an isle of exploration in an archipelago of vigorous fauna. There is a morphological bond between the chains of transforming creatures. Precipitous discoveries mark these islands of possibility. The style and technique used in my current series of paintings lends itself well to the needs of some designers, architects and collectors seeking the right piece to compliment their designs and home. I have been asked if I am willing to create commissioned works to meet such needs. Yes, I am. In creating commissioned works for specific interiors, whether for corporate facilities or residential homes, I prefer to meet with the designer, the facility manager, or the homeowner and discuss in detail the unique requirements of the piece they desire. This includes taking into account all of the aesthetic factors of space, color, form, rhythm and mood that constitute the whole environment in which the piece is to reside. I then apply my artistic sensibilities to create works that harmonize with the other elements of that specific environment. JynnaVyve Bruntmeyer, who adheres to standard business practices and clearly defined contracts that ensure the satisfaction of all parties currently represents me. Such contracts are to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis and typically are preceded by an initial consultation and a written proposal. I hope that you will consider my work and contact my representative for further details and questions. -Elisabeth Vedrine
