John Ball Park Zoo is not up to date!

I thought this zoo was OK,not to big for the kids to walk around.I also found it could do with some updating.I felt sorry for the birds there was no shelter for them, and no room for them to fly at all.The Tiger was in a very small pen,and looked very distressed, this upset my kids.I really don't think i want to visit this zoo again.I will go back if changes are made for the animals welfare.

Most of the reviews included on Insider Pages are from 2005. In late 2005, John Ball Zoo decided to become a leader in interactive exhibits. During the summer (May-Sept) you'll find: Touchable & feedable Stingrays and SHARKS, an aviary containing over 300 colorful BUDGIES (parakeets) that will land on you and you can feed, walk-thru WALLABIES (that enjoy a scratch behind the ears), an AQUATIC ANIMAL TOUCH TANK, and lots of volunteers around with animals in their arms. BUT...that's not all....how about our brand new 4-STORY, 300-FT ZIPLINE and COMING THIS SUMMER, a ROPES COURSE (and Jr. Ropes Course) AND...A PRIDE OF THREE TREE CLIMBING LIONS IN THE ALL NEW LIONS OF LAKE MANYARA - opening June 2008 !!!
Could Stand some Improvement

This zoo is not very large and could stand to add to its current exhibits. You can cover the entire zoo (easily) in less than 1 hour. The most impressive part of the zoo was the aquarium.
